📖Our Story📖

👋We’re Galen & Oisin.

Two cousins from a small Irish town who turned a bit of curiosity… into a full-time career in magic.

I’m Galen and my younger cousin is called Oisin and together we came up with the brand name GO Magic…..get it.

👉How It Started

I didn’t exactly grow up as the most social kid.

As an only child with a huge imagination and a lot of free time, I wanted to get good at something — something that was cool and, more importantly, something that could break the ice with people.

Magic just made sense.

So I started practicing. Every day. In my room, in front of the mirror, showing my mum, practicing on family — anyone who would watch.

What started as a way to pass time quickly became an obsession.

People smiling and engaging in conversation at a wedding reception, a woman in a wedding dress and veil talking to two men, one in a vest and glasses and the other in a suit.

🤝Enter Oisin

Oisin, my younger cousin, doesn’t have any brothers — so naturally, we were always around each other.

Same energy. Same curiosity. Always doing things together.

So when magic came into the picture… he was in.

I was 13. Oisin was 8. (2010!)

And from that point on, it wasn’t just a hobby — it was our thing.

📍The Moment Everything Changed

Two years later, a friend of mine brought a deck of cards into school.

I showed him a trick. He loved it.

To make sure it wasn’t just luck, I showed the school caretaker as well — and he completely freaked out.

That was enough.

The next day, I brought my own deck in… and everything changed.

Word spread fast.

Soon everyone knew — students, teachers — there was “that lad who could do magic.
I even picked up the nickname “Dynamo” after the TV magician.

😌Thrown In At The Deep End

At 15, something unexpected happened.

The school decided I was too good not to perform… and entered me into the talent show.

No choice.

Despite always wanting to do something like that, the nerves were real.

But I did it anyway.

Took the stage. Performed. And somehow…

Won.

⚡From Schoolyard to Paid Shows

That night changed everything.

With students, families, and the local community all watching, word spread quickly around the town.

Suddenly, it wasn’t just school anymore.

It was:

  • Birthday parties

  • Local events

  • Weddings

From the age of 15, I was getting booked to perform.

And Oisin was right there alongside me as it all grew.

🎉Today

After leaving school, what started as a way to break the ice became a full-time career.

Now, over a decade later, we perform at weddings, corporate events, and private parties across Ireland, the UK, and around the world.

But at the core, nothing’s really changed.

It’s still about that moment:
When someone leans in…
Watches closely…
And then has absolutely no idea what just happened.

The man on the left is wearing a green Vodafone sports jersey and a floral lei, while the man on the right is wearing a gray jacket over a white shirt and black pants. They are standing close together, with the man on the right having his arm around the other’s shoulder.
